Landscape Architecture

We are state registered landscape architects no. 808. All of our architects are experienced in the field and become very familiar with how plant material complements the building architecture. We also understand how to use plant material to create spaces based on each individual usage of their property. All of us have a broad knowledge of the many plants available in our zone which allows us to create unique designs.

Landscape Maintenance

Our landscape maintenance started at the request of our clients in 1993. Since then, our main goal is to please our property owners by keeping the properties looking "pretty as a picture". We prefer to hand-weed rather than spray, then use the grass clippings in house for our organic mulch along with the collection of fallen leaves during autumn.

Landscape Installation

The landscape installations are all supervised by landscape architects and/or a civil engineer with a huge time presence onsite. Getting to know our clients is very important to us so we can make sure the install will match their personalty and expectations. We are able to make immediate changes in the field because we don't subcontract any of our crews.

Hardscape

There is literally nothing outside that we can't conceive, manage and build. Our expertise in construction allows us an advantage in planning, scheduling, coordinating and implementing all types of projects. We've done outside kitchens, plazas, patios, gazebos, playgrounds, retaining systems, driveways, fountains, fire-pits and plenty more.

Drainage

Our approach to drainage solutions is basic land contouring. We believe in creating positive slopes guiding water away from problem areas versus using sump pump systems. There are times when a French drain or other inlets are required and we make that determination based on the grade, subterranean water or surface water.

Irrigation

Sprinkler design is once again done in house and installed by a landscape installation crew. This means that your irrigation system will be coordinated with your landscape planting. We oversize our lateral piping lines to accommodate adding sprinklers far into the future.

Farm

Our farm is located at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, where we grow peonies for the cut flower industry and other assorted flowering branches. It provides raw agricultural enjoyment for all of us even though it's hard work during our seasons.

Greenhouse

The antique wood and glass greenhouses that we have were originally built in Buckhead, then relocated to Brookhaven by the late Col. Morrison who was known locally for his Poinsettias. Planting Concepts purchased them and moved them to Sandy Springs where we will be growing organic vegetables and off-season cut flowers.
